ONLINE POLICIES

ORDER PROCESSING TIME

Please allow 1-2 weeks from the date of your order for order processing. If rare unexpected delays occur, you will be notified immediately.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS / RETURNS

Orders can not be cancelled or changed once the items have been shipped or are in transit to our warehouse. Orders that are being held in our warehouse for a delayed delivery date can not be cancelled. After an order has shipped any returns or refunds will have a 35% restocking fee. If a customer does not want a product after delivery/pick up, the item must be brought back in the original packaging, in original condition, at the customer’s expense within 30 days from delivery/pick up date. To return or exchange any item from Mike’s Furniture, the item must be disassembled and in the original packaging. If packaging is torn or unusable, it can not be returned or exchanged and no refund will be given. Mattresses can only be returned, unopened in the original plastic.

DELIVERY

Delivery does not include set up.  Mike's Furniture does not offer a setup service.
Deliveries are done from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Delivery time is only an estimate, no guaranteed delivery time. Mike’s Furniture cannot be held liable for any loss due to delivery delay. Rescheduling or cancellation of a delivery must be requested 24 hours prior to the day of delivery. If cancelled on the day of delivery, a surcharge of $50 will be assessed. If a customer is not home to receive the delivery on the scheduled delivery date, the delivery fee will be assessed. A redelivery fee of $50 will be charged for any additional attempts. It is the Customer's responsibility to inspect all items for damage at the time of delivery. If the delivery can not be completed because the purchased items cannot fit into the home or rooms by the delivery team, the customer is responsible for any/all return costs in accordance with the store policies.

 

MEASURING FOR DELIVERY

It is the customer's responsibilty to make sure the products will fit in their home.  Will the furniture fit through all doorways?  Will your hallway size allow our team to fit through with the product?  Will the furniture fit up your stairway?  Will the furniture fit into the room?  For apartment buildings or homes with elevators, it is important to measure the elevator interior height, elevator opening and opposite wall distance.

 

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

In the rare event that you receive a damaged item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery so that we can remedy the issue. We will repair to first quality or replace your damaged furniture. Any damage must be reported to us within 48 hrs of delivery.

 

WARRANTY

Items come with a 1 Year Manufacturers Warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty applies under conditions of normal use. It does not cover defects caused by improper assembly or disassembly, product modification, abuse, misuse, accidents, negligence or exposure to the elements. Our furniture products are not intended for outdoor use.

Website images and any presentation provided by Mike’s Furniture are for illustrative purposes only. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the size, color and design of the products are suitable for their home. Variations in color, texture and natural markings of wood, fabric, metal or leather, are common and cannot be avoided. Mikes Furniture cannot be held responsible for such variations. Mike’s Furniture is not liable for fading under any circumstance. Replacement parts may have variations the original dye lot or finish.

 

 

 


 

 

IN-STORE POLICIES

Upon receiving this invoice, the customer agrees to the following policies and guarantees.

Mike’s Furniture may amend this agreement at any time without notice at our discretion by posting the amended terms on our website.

Prior to leaving the store, it is the customer’s responsibility to confirm the information on the invoice is correct, and that the items on the invoice are what they requested. The invoice indicates what items the customer will receive. Once the customer leaves the store, changes will not be made to the invoice without customer present with a Photo ID.

LAY-A-WAY

Lay-A-Way on used appliances is 2 weeks with a down payment of 25%. If the appliance is not paid in full within 2 weeks, Mike’s Furniture reserves the right to remove the appliance from storage. If the appliance has been removed from storage, the money deposited may be used as a credit towards a different appliance of the customer’s choice. Lay-A-Way on furniture is for one year from the date the invoice is started. Furniture will not be ordered until the invoice is paid in full. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for discontinued items.

DELIVERY

Mike’s Furniture can not store appliances; appliances must be delivered within 2 weeks of purchase.

Delivery will only made to the address printed on the customer’s invoice. Date of delivery is stated on the front of the invoice. All deliveries are done from 7:30am to 7:00pm. Delivery date and time is only an estimate. No guaranteed delivery time. Mike’s Furniture cannot be held liable for any loss due to delivery delay. Delivery is done under safe and normal conditions. There must be a clear path to the entrance of the building. Mike’s Furniture drivers do not remove doors, banisters, windows, trim, gates, or any other structural part. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the product they purchased will fit into their residence with 1 inch of clearance so there is no risk of damage. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for any damage done by appliance/furniture to the customer’s residence during delivery. If items do not fit in the residence during a delivery, the delivery fee will be assessed. Any redelivery of new furniture will have a redelivery charge of $39. If the customer feels an item is not in acceptable condition upon delivery they are entitled to refuse the delivery prior to the delivery drivers leaving.

Delivery does not include hook-up of appliances, set up of furniture, or removal of old appliances or furniture.

PICK UP

Photo ID and the customer’s invoice must be present for pick up. In store pickup is from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Saturday. Customers are responsible to check their items for damage prior to leaving Mike’s Furniture.

GUARANTEE/WARRANTY

Length of Mike’s Furniture guarantee is 30 days. No guarantee on “As Is” items. Any changes in length of guarantee will be posted on the front side of receipt. Guarantee/Warranty covers original purchaser at the original delivery address. If an item is delivered damaged or parts are missing, the customer must notify Mike’s Furniture within 2 business days of delivery. Failing to do so will waive all claims for damage. Damage caused by improper opening of packaging, poor assembly, unauthorized repair, or modification will void warranty. Failure on the customer’s part to properly take care of furniture, whether through neglect or ignorance, voids all warranties. If the appliance/furniture is damaged or non-operational due to unsanitary living conditions, guarantee/warranty will be void. Abuse will be determined by Mike’s Furniture exclusively. No coverage for damage caused by acts of nature. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for any damage done by appliance/furniture to customer’s residence. Defective products must be brought back to the store at the customer’s expense to fulfill guarantee. Mike’s Furniture reserves the right to determine whether a product will be repaired or exchanged.

Furniture guarantee is given by the manufacturer, not Mike’s Furniture; guarantees can be found on the manufacturer’s website. “Too hard or too soft” pertaining to mattress, padded or cushioned products is a personal judgment which should be resolved at the time of purchase and is not warranted.

Mattress guarantee is given by the manufacturer and may vary. Customer must bring the product back to Mike’s Furniture unopened in the original plastic, free of rips or stains. Mike’s Furniture will send the mattress/box spring back to the factory for guarantee work. This process can take 2-5 weeks.

Refurbished bedding and mattresses are made from used and second hand materials. New mattresses will be stated as “new” on the product’s manufacture tag.

If a customer does not reside in the city of Chicago, furniture or appliances must be brought to Mike’s Furniture at customer’s expense for any guarantee work

APPLIANCE GUARANTEE

Used appliances have a 30 day guarantee through Mike’s Furniture. New appliances have manufacturer’s guarantees, example: Avanti, Brown, and Frigidaire have their guarantee work serviced directly from the manufacturer. Mike’s Furniture cannot service brand new appliances. If at anytime an appliance needs repair during the 30 day guarantee, before it can be exchanged it must first be serviced by a Mike’s Furniture technician. If an appliance is determined unfixable by the Mike’s Furniture service technician then the appliance will be replaced. Any independent repair/maintenance work will void any manufacturer guarantee. Neglect by customer and/or use of extension cord on any appliance will void appliance guarantee. Mike’s Furniture does not thoroughly clean used appliances and is not responsible for appliance odors, missing parts, scratches or dents. The price of the used appliance reflects the appearance and condition as is.

Refrigerator Guarantee: Freezer section to be below 20° and to be self defrosting if marked by the manufacture, refrigerator section to be between 35°-45°. There is no guarantee on lights or water systems. Mike’s Furniture does not test/hook up water systems. Mike’s Furniture is not liable for food spoilage.

Freezer Guarantee: Freezer to be below 20° and to be self defrosting if marked by the manufacture, no guarantee on lights or water systems. Mike’s Furniture is not liable for food spoilage

Stove Guarantee: Burners, oven and grill are covered by the guarantee. No guarantee on lights or clocks. Gas lines are not included in sale. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for any gas hook ups. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for food spoilage or missed meals.

Dryer Guarantee: Machine to work according to marking on timer and ignition system as marked by manufacture. Gas or vent pipes are not included in sale. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for damaged clothes. Any front load dryer must be placed on a level surface to be covered by a guarantee.

Washer Guarantee: Machine to work according to marking on face of timer, water hoses, and drain hoses are not included in sale. Mike’s Furniture is not liable for damage to clothes or residents due to water leaks. Any front load washer must be placed on a level surface to be covered by a guarantee.

Microwave Guarantee: Machine to work according to markings on timer, microwave plates are not included. All microwaves must be brought back to store by the customer for guarantee work, Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for food damage. Mounting hardware not included.

Dishwasher Guarantee: Machine to work according to marking on timer, not liable for damaged dishes or water damage to residence due to water leaks, customer must bring dishwasher back to store for guarantee work.

Air Conditioner Guarantee: Machine to work according to controls. Mike’s Furniture is not responsible for any water damage due to condensation. Mounting hardware not included.

SERVICE

In store service is 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Saturday. If an appliance is determined unfixable by a Mike’s Furniture service technician and the appliance is under the 30 day guarantee, the customer has the option to choose another appliance of equal value. Any service call can only be made to the original address on the invoice. If a customer is not home for a scheduled service call or if the service technician determines the service call unnecessary because of customer neglect or ignorance, a fee of $49 will be charged.

PARTS

Parts can be ordered for an item if a customer first notifies Mike’s Furniture with 2 business days of purchase. Parts may take 1- 5 weeks to receive. Parts cannot be delivered; the customer must come to Mike’s Furniture to pick up parts at their own expense. Parts pick up is between 8:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Once Mike’s Furniture receives the ordered part, the customer will then be notified and the customer has 2 weeks to pick up the part or it will be returned to the manufacture. Mike’s Furniture can not be held responsible for any parts on discontinued items.

REFUNDS

No refunds on any purchases from Mike’s Furniture. Refunds can only be made within the first 30 days of purchase. A refund on layaway can only be made during the first 30 days from the date the invoice was created. After 30 days, any money deposited will become store credit. Mike’s Furniture reserves the right to refuse any refund. If at anytime a customer receives a refund from Mike’s Furniture, a credit card purchase will be credited to original credit card with owner and photo ID present. The name on the Mike’s Furniture receipt must match the picture ID. Debit card, check, or cash refunds over $100 will be returned in the form of a Mike’s Furniture company check. Refunds are made between the hours of 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. To receive a refund, the customer must have original receipt and picture ID. Certain furniture manufactures may issue a restocking fee which the customer is to be held liable to pay.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES

If a customer does not want a product after delivery/pick up, the item must be brought back in the original packaging, in original condition, at the customer’s expense within 30 days from delivery/pick up date. To return or exchange any item from Mike’s Furniture, the item must be disassembled and in the original packaging. If packaging is torn or unusable, it can not be returned or exchanged and no refund will be given. No returns on special order items. Mattresses can only be returned, unopened in the original plastic.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Special order items will be noted on the front of the invoice. Once a special order is paid in full, the order is then placed and finalized. Once a special order is placed, it cannot be canceled or changed, and no refund will be issued. Special orders can take 2-12 weeks to be received. Any issues regarding a delivered special order will be resolved by Mike’s Furniture’s service department. Delivery of Titanic Furniture products is provided by Titanic Furniture. Titanic Furniture delivers within 50 miles of the city of Chicago.

BACK ORDERS

Back order items can take 1-12 weeks to receive. If an item was ordered and the manufacture is out of stock, that order then becomes a back order. The customer can choose to wait for the back ordered item or the customer can pick out a different item to replace the backordered or discontinued item. If the customer chooses to wait for the item, Mike’s Furniture cannot be held liable for any loss resulting in the customer’s choice to wait.
